CCM Toronto’s 18th Anniversary
CCM Toronto will be celebrating its 18th Anniversary on May 3rd! We warmly invite all friends and volunteers of CCM to join us in witnessing and sharing God’s faithfulness and grace. This year, we’ve entered a season of renewal and growth: children and youth explored faith and identity together during the March Break Camp; the newly launched IT Clinic aims to help seniors regain confidence; and renovation work has begun, with hopes that our space will be used for God’s purpose. Join us in giving thanks and praying as we step into the next stage of our mission journey.
Pastel Art
In a fast-paced world, the need for quiet is often ignored. This pastel art course is more than creative expression; it is a journey toward stillness and self-awareness.
Each session, instructor integrates a short biblical reflection with a themed art process, inviting deeper connection and insight. As one participant shared, “My mind was still foggy in the morning, but by the end, both my heart and head had opened.” Others have found strength painting through illness, using calm tones to express their present reality. Some began in older age, surprised to discover growth and renewed confidence. Many also speak of the friendships formed and the joy of being guided gently by the instructor’s voice and presence.
This program reflects a vision of CCM holistic care—one that honors the physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions of healing. Each artwork becomes a chance to recover a sense of worth, grounded in the truth that we are all created in the image of God.
Here, quietness is not emptiness. It is strength. One stroke at a time, we slow down, reflect, and begin to see again—with clarity, with peace, and with purpose in the Creator.
Chaotic March Break Camp??
This year’s March Break Camp carried the theme “What a Mess?”, inviting children, youth, and families to reflect on what it means to live and grow in an imperfect, chaotic world. The message we wanted to share was simple but powerful: it’s okay to make mistakes. In a messy world, we are still learning, and that is allowed. God’s grace meets us even in disorder.
We created a safe and open space where children could be creative, try new things, and express themselves freely—through play, art, teamwork, and conversation. This camp wasn’t just about activities. It was about exploration, growth, and connection.
A team of 16 youth volunteers served 16 children throughout the week. Some were first-time volunteers, stepping in with courage. Others were returning leaders, ready to support. Together, they served in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, learning how to work across language and culture through patience and empathy. One youth reflected afterward, “Working with kids is way harder than I thought—I finally understand what my parents went through!”
By the end of the week, five children responded to the altar call, taking a step closer to faith. CCM Toronto Centre continues to serve the community with the love of Christ—creating spaces where the next generation can find hope, belonging, and purpose, even in the mess.
Free IT Clinic for Seniors
In response to the challenges many seniors face in today’s digital world, CCM Toronto Centre launched the new IT Clinic for Seniors this March. Designed for those aged 55 and up, the clinic offers free support with digital tools—everything from setting up phones, tablets, and computers to using apps, email, and Wi-Fi. With patient guidance from volunteers, seniors are gaining confidence and skills for the digital age.
We believe that no matter what stage of life one is in, every person remains capable of growth, learning, and contribution. Seniors are not just recipients of help—they are valuable members of the community, empowered to bless others through what they’ve learned.
This initiative is about more than technical support. It’s about restoring a sense of worth, dignity, and purpose. With Christ’s love at the center, CCM is committed to walking alongside seniors as they cross the digital divide and live with renewed confidence and meaning.
Give thanks to the Lord for His provision and protection as our renovation project has officially begun. Please continue to pray for a smooth and safe process. May God grant us wisdom to steward and utilize the space well—for His purpose and people.
In this confusing and chaotic world, pray that God would continue to give us discernment and wisdom to reach the youth—both newcomers to Canada and those born here. May their hearts be open to the truth of the Gospel and the hope it brings.
